Carnation Café Dinner

After a two month hiatus of no Disneyland we finally returned to the “Happiest Place on Earth.” Once again Disney proved to be as magical as ever and we were thrilled that we had the opportunity to meet up with friends who also happened to be visiting Mickey Mouse.

We arrived right on time to see Mickey’s Soundsational Parade at 4:30pm and it was awesome.  Seeing all of the smiling faces in the crowd, hearing the fun music, watching the dancers and seeing the floats go by with several Disney characters was the perfect start to our evening.

Our first ride of the evening was the Matterhorn Bobsled. The Matterhorn is on Mason & Madison’s top 5 rides list for big kids, followed by Big Thunder Mountain, Indiana Jones, Space Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean.

We had dinner reservations at Carnation Café on Main Street, please note that a credit card is required to secure your reservation.

We were pretty excited to have dinner with friends and to try some items on the menu that we’ve heard are a MUST HAVE  while at Disneyland. We ordered the Fried Pickles with Dipping Sauce – Dill Pickle Spears dipped in Parmesan and Panko, Fried Golden Brown and served with a House Sauce they were really good.

The Sourdough Bacon- Cheese Melt was absolutley delicious, it consisted of an Angus Chuck Patty, Pepper Jack Cheese, Grilled Onions, Hickory-smoked Bacon, and Spicy House Sauce on Grilled Sourdough served with your choice of fresh Fruit or Seasoned French Fries.20160520_193536

The kids Burger, Mac & Cheese and the Fried Chicken all came with good size servings of fruits and vegetables and included a drink.  Dessert is always a must and the Cherry Shake, Banana Hot Fudge Sundae and the Cake were all tasty.

The awesome part about being annual pass holders is that we can make plans to go on a few rides and have dinner on Main Street anytime we want. You might be asking yourself why go through all the trouble just for dinner…. our response is, we do it for the lifetime memories.
